Covid-19 Updates

April 4-10 is National Public Health Week (NPHW)

April 4-10 is National Public Health Week (NPHW)

During the first full week of April each year, the DeKalb County Health Department
(DCHD), along with other local health departments, supports the NPHW initiatives by
promoting local contributions to public health and highlighting their services in the
community. During this week, DCHD encourages health professionals, students,
community leaders, and the general public to explore ways we can work together to
create a more equitable, safe, and healthy community.

The American Public Health Association (APHA) brings together communities across the
United States to observe National Public Health Week as a time to acknowledge the
contributions of public health and to recognize this year’s theme, “Public Health is Where
you Are.”

This year, DCHD will be taking part in NPHW by promoting the messages and activities through
DCHD social media. Please be sure to check out DCHD’s social media pages to help share the
messages in our community.
