What do I qualify for?

Employees on the DeKalb County Insurance Plan who participate in the Wellness Screening will receive a Visa gift card at the screening!

Q:  Why should I participate in the Wellness Day screening?  What is in it for me?

It makes our health insurance plan stronger.  Empowers you take steps to keep yourself healthy. Employees under County Health Insurance BC/BS of IL will receive a $50 minimum VISA Gift Card

Q:  I’m a young and healthy adult?  Why should I participate in the Wellness Day. 

The bloodwork panel testing results will undoubtably change throughout your life.  A Baseline would be great place to start building a picture of your health over time

Q:  What do I have to do first?

Register Now for one of three locations on 10/1 or 10/2 that works best for you.  There are no Walk-In appointments.

Q:  How long will the screening take?

Less than 20 minutes for the screening including any additional tests you may want to take advantage in doing.

Q:   What services are included on the Wellness Day?

Blood Pressure readings, Flu Shot vaccinations, and bloodwork to give you valuable insight into your health.  Improving and maintaining your health can start today.

Q:  How long do I have to fast? 

Nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to your scheduled appointment i.e. (nothing after 10 pm if appt is 6 am)
Morning of screening:  Drink two (2) glasses of water in the morning 1-2 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Q:  The doctor told me to get my bloodwork done but I don’t have insurance and it is very expensive.

Offering our employees excellent health care benefits continues to be our goal.  We also want to offer employees not under our health insurance coverage and families as well as County Board members, these same services with discounted fees.  The average cost of these tests run into the hundreds of dollars.

Q:   Can my teenager also join in on the Wellness Day? 

Children above the age of 18 years are eligible to participate
